Each year the Wisconsin Scale Boating Association participates in public events. We do this in order to introduce the public to the model boating hobby. Also we participate in support of events and organizations we feel are of value and we hope our participation aids in supporting those events and organizations. Below is a list of events we will be attending this year. The status of the event is color coded. Where we have a standing invitation to exhibit but no date has been set the event will be Purple. Where an event is set it will be Blue. Completed events will be Red. For more information on any event contact us at info@wimodelboats.org. Where an event has its own website a link will be provided in the listing.
We will also list other model boat club events we are aware of. If your club is having an event and wants us to list it contact us at info@wimodelboats.org.

The prevailing economy put a crimp in the show this year. One section of the main hall was used for the fishing seminars, wakeboard demonstrations and Twiggy's waterskiing show. The people who came were for the most part serious shoppers and some boats were sold. The marine dealers are hoping this slump will end soon.

Twiggy the waterskiing squirrel was back this year. Always a crowd pleaser.

As always our participation in this show has been a very positive experience for the club.

Another good year at this event. Terry Bruce and Bob Dallman both picked up awards. The weather cooperated for the pool and all went well until we started to drain it. Chuck decided it was time for his annual bath.

Our annual opportunity for the members to co-mingle family and hobby. Spouses, children, and grand kids get to participate in the fun.

6th Annual Pewaukee Classic & Antique Boat Show and Art Fair
August 21st
Located at Lakefront Park-Village of Pewaukee, Pewaukee, WI.
Hosted by the Glacier Lakes Chapter, Antique and Classic Boat Society.
Featuring Antique & Classic Boats, Plein Art Fair, antique cars, model boat club, live "big band & swing" music, and kids events. We should be next to the fishing pier like we were last year. They will attempt to clear weeds from the area so we can operate.

G-scale trains travel west. Small and miniature plants create the landscape. Special exhibits and demonstrations. Train hobbyists will be on hand to answer your questions.

11th annual Ghost Ships Festival will be held March 5 - 6 at
The Wyndham Milwaukee Airport and Convention Center just across from the General
Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.
Ghost Ships Festival is a conference devoted to Great Lakes Scuba Diving and
Maritime History. Exhibits, workshops, and presentations cover just about every
aspect of maritime history and Great Lakes scuba diving. You can listen to and
interact with leading dive industry professionals, extreme explorers, maritime
historians, and Great Lakes authors!
